About Down10 (aka Jesse Burgheimer)

Hi. I’m Jesse.

I’m an aspiring graphic designer from San Francisco, and I’ve been enthralled with graphic design for most of my life. I was born in 1978 and raised in the Haight-Ashbury, but oddly enough, the strong hippy vibe had not rubbed off on me (much). I’ve lived here all my life, though.

I’ve been on the Internet since 1995 (1994, if you count AOL), but I hadn’t really created an in-depth personal Web site until now.

I like the freedom and possibilities in designing for the Web, but I’m afraid that the field is too new for anything truly revolutionary to become of it. Flash is a big step forward, but it’ll be a very long time before the Web reaches the saturation level of print.

Still, I’m seeking graphic design work right now, and the job industry has tightened up like a drawstring. I saw the “dot-com collapse” from a mile away, but that still hadn’t prepared me for the severe lack of design jobs that would await when I graduated college. Anyhow, I’m pleased to finally complete my site. I’ll be adding much more in the future, so please return.
