Jammed Toaster

The font based on the old logotype for Adaptec.

About This Font

This is a font based entirely the logo for Adaptec, which looks pretty high tech and modern …for the 1970’s. I renovated Adobe’s Bauhaus Bold for the dynamics of the font, so I may have missed a couple of the characters. They may turn up when using this type, so keep that in mind…

The reason this font is called “Jammed Toaster” is in honor of two of Adaptec’s former media-recording products: Toast and Jam. These products were popular enough to branch them off into a new company called Roxio, so the products are now known as Roxio Jam and Roxio Toast. Both are excellent; I recommend them.

See Adaptec.com for more info on Adaptec, and Roxio.com for info on Toast and Jam.

In the future, I’ll add CAPITAL LETTERS, as well as better spacing, hinting and kerning, so return to my site for updates.
